My family and I enjoyed another wonderful Trails Day in the City of Fairfax. Organized by the City and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, this is a family-friendly event that includes a 1 mile fun run, a 5K and lots of eco-friendly activities. Thanks to everyone who made it a great success, including the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, National Park Service, and many others.

Trails Day - June 5
This Saturday is Trails Day and as is tradition in the City of Fairfax, we celebrate with style. We will have a family fun run and a 5K along with an awards ceremony at Van Dyck Park. The fun starts at 8 a.m. There is a bike rodeo and safety event sponsored by the Police Department at 10 a.m.
Make sure to bring plenty of water and get ready to have a good time. Go to http://www.fairfaxtrails.com/ for more information and to sign up for the races.
