As many of you know by now, the Hon. John Petersen passed away this week. A former City Councilman, GMU professor, economist, columnist, community leader, husband, father, grandfather and so many great things to so many people, John lived life to the fullest. I had the privilege of knowing John both personally and also serving with him on the City's Economic Development Authority. He is going to be missed. Our family's thoughts and prayers are with his wife of 49 years, Mary, and the entire Petersen family.
